  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Cary Regional Library

The Friends of the Page Walker Hotel and the Cary Regional Library present a "Houses on the Move" series this summer to highlight historic properties that have moved from their original site and are being preserved and repurposed.  These properties include the Nancy Jones House, Williams House, and Ivey-Ellington House.

Friends board member Carla Michaels will talk about the Nancy Jones House, the earliest house in this group,  June 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cary Regional Library in the second floor Walter Hines Page Classroom.

Who built the Nancy Jones house and lived in it?  And when?  Why is it significant? Come hear about the history, well- and little-known, that surrounds this historic local landmark.  Several Nathaniels, peach brandy and a "naughty" word will be featured!

Mark your calendars now for future talks in this series.  Board member Katherine Loflin will talk about the Williams House July 9 at 2:00 p.m. and board member Mike Rubes will talk about the Ivey-Ellington House August 6 at 2:00 p.m.  All presentations will be in the Cary Regional Library in the Walter Hines Page Classroom.
