The Town of Cary invites you to enjoy an evening of music, conversation and food as they celebrate the life of Florence Price, the first African American classical composer to have a symphony performed by a major orchestra. Hear the fascinating story told through a concert by acclaimed vocalist and composer Lenora Helm Hammonds. Using music interwoven with narration, the singer and instrumentalists present the works of this great American artist. This program is intended for an adult audience.
